BBC Oscar Night

This show was performed on Oscar Night. We gave our Montreal audience two choices. First choice: stay at home and watch a bunch of dull, overdressed people clapping their hands and forcing smiles at other dull, overdressed people; highlight of the night being the sugar high you experience after sharing a litre of soda pop with your grandmother. Second choice: experience the reinvention of the Oscars with the Blood Ballet Cabaret ensemble. Come watch the BBC crew pay homage to some of the greatest films of our time. We encourage our audience to dress up as their favorite movie character and/or sign up for our ‘Drunken Acceptance Speech’ competition. There will be a red carpet, there will be popcorn, and you better believe it: there will be blood.

Fun fact: Miss Bloody Mary Anne performed a burlesque interpretation of ‘Black Swan’ on the same night Natalie Portman won Best Actress award!
